Building Stronger Futures Through Early Connections
If anything were possible...
In Jan 2023, the Blue Mountain ELH brought together organizations across our service region to ask the question: "if anything were possible, what would it take to ensure that every child, family and community has what they need to succeed in the first 1000 days of life?"
From this work, there were several strategies that were brought forward including:
- Creating a network for direct service providers and organization to connect with the goal of better understanding of resource and improved referral processes
- Improving rural access to health services by collaborating with EOCCO and local providers to find creative way to improve access and use of health care.
- Expand child care for families through streamlining state systems and expanding programs like Baby Promise
- Increase family stability by accessing unrestrictive funds to improve access to housing, employment and basic needs.
